Truvo Mobile available to Belgians through mobilePeople

May 8, 2016

Local search and advertising publisher Truvo, which currently operates in six countries, has just launched a search service with downloadable Java for Belgian mobile users. It is based on mobilePeople’s liquid platform.

Truvo, formerly branded as World Directories, is the first publisher of international directories to include multiple content sources with a searchable format alongside their own white and yellow pages directories.

Truvo’s searchable information will include yellow pages or ‘Pages d’Or’ listings, white pages or ‘Pages Blanches’, news via hln.be, weather via Meteo, a mobile web search and peripheral wallpapers and ringtones.

The company believes that these different content sources will boost traffic to Truvo’s mobile portal.

Truvo’s Mobile platform can search across all of its data sources and give results from each individual content source.

A drop down menu enables users to select search by source. The results can then be saved to phonebooks, or the call can be made, or an email can be sent, all directly from the results displayed.

The service is available in either Dutch or French.

The results of individuals or business locations are also indicated on liquid MAP which is interactive with pan and zoom features.

Users may also click on a location that interests them to reveal additional information.

Users can expand this by selecting a whole street to view more information. MobilePeople uses Scaleable Vector Graphics, aka SVG, for its map utility.

More launches of this technology are planned for Portugal and the Republic of Ireland during the next few months.
